I have visited this site before and it is a fairly amazing online community for your average bibliophile . This was the first account I’ve created & I must admit to being a bit wistful when I check out the ‘blog’ section of the site and it had a link for California members to go for drinks to the ‘Library Bar’ in L.A. What a fantastic concept! I have heard so many debates in library circles here about the pros & cons of having a cafe in a library – there really isn’t enough talk about incorporating the joys of alcohol into the library world.
I am of course kidding …. thinking about some of our wackier borrowers, I don’t think dealing with them completely sloshed would really improve the desk experience.
I’ll see if it works linking the blog page that I’m talking about to this post.
